CBS is adding a package of Thursday night games to its already loaded NFL lineup next season.CBS will simulcast eight games with the NFL Network early in the 2014 season. The remaining eight late-season games will be seen on the NFL Network, which previously aired the entire Thursday Night Football franchise.
“NFL Network built Thursday into a night for NFL fans,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “Our goal is to bring these games to more fans on broadcast television with unprecedented promotion and visibility for Thursday Night Football on CBS.”
