610 WIP is NOW CBS Sports Radio 610 AM

CBS Sports Radio begins full operation on January 2 at midnight with a weekday lineup that includes Brandon Tierney, Dana Jacobson, and Tiki Barber in morning drive; with John Feinstein, Jim Rome, Doug Gottlieb, Chris Moore, Scott Farrell and Damon Amendolara rounding out the schedule the rest of the day.

The weekend lineup on CBS Sports Radio 610 will include Amy Lawrence, John Kincade, Vinny Cerrato, Rob Long, Josh Innes, Ted Johnson and WIP host Jody McDonald.

WIP's full local lineup which includes Angelo Cataldi, Ike Reese, Michael Barkann, Glen Macnow, Anthony Gargano, Rob Ellis, and Big Daddy Graham will be heard only on 94.1 FM, as CBS Radio's new national sports radio network will take over the original home of WIP.

CBS Sports Radio will broadcast across the nation on these stations. 94 WIP will cross promote the new programming on 610 AM along with airing the CBS Sports Minute. The AM station will also continue to broadcast Eagles games, pre-game and post game shows, Villanova and St. Joe's basketball, selected  NFL playoff games and NCAA tournament basketball games.

"It will be interesting to see if CBS Sports radio can get off the ground nationwide with what looks to be a very solid lineup. CBS is very serious about this radio network and there's a sizeable group of stations ready when the launch occurs. It'll also be interesting to see if CBS Sports Network starts syndicating any of their radio broadcasts on their fledging cable channel like the Dan Patrick Show on NBCSN and various ESPN Radio shows do. Right now Tim Brando's Yahoo Sports radio show holds down a spot on CBS Sports (TV) Network from 10-1 ET. I could certainly see the Jacobson-Barber-Tierney morning show appear as a simulcast, too. I'd like to see this new network succeed, but like anyone trying to compete with ESPN, it's going to be a rough climb." -Comments from Joe Lucia  of Awful Announcing.com
