NBC 10 Continues Make Over, Timmeney Leaves and Jáquez Returns

Former Fox 29 reporter Nefertiti Jáquez will be returning to Philadelphia in 2013 to work for NBC10. Jáquez, who left the Philadelphia market in 2009 has been working as a reporter and fill-in anchor for the NBC affiliate in Houston.

Dawn Timmeney, who anchored the 4 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts at NBC 10 has been released by the station. She worked at NBC10 for nearly 12 years. Her contract was not renewed as was most recently anchor Tim Lake.

Anzio Williams, who joined WCAU as VP of news in July, is the person in charge and has been shaking up the staff in an obvious youth movement. Williams announced that meteorologist Brittney Shipp is joining NBC 10 from KTVK in Phoenix. Last month, reporter Daralene Jones was hired from WFTV in Orlando.

Unlike the news teams at Channel 3, 6, and 29... any new reporters or anchors in town at Channel 10 always seem to be auditioning for a network job in New York.
